Nathan Hauritz, the National Spin Bowling Coach for Cricket Ireland, has decided to leave his position due to personal family reasons. Hauritz, a former Australian off-spinner, joined Cricket Ireland in 2022 and made valuable contributions across senior men’s, women’s, and pathway systems.
He was part of the coaching staff during the recent T20 World Cups. Hauritz expressed his gratitude and fondness for his experience with Cricket Ireland, praising the players, staff, and their families for their welcoming nature.
Heinrich Malan, Head Coach of Ireland Men, recognized Hauritz’s departure as a sad but understandable decision and commended his work as the first dedicated national spin bowling coach. Ed Joyce, Head Coach of Ireland Women, expressed his disappointment at Hauritz’s departure and acknowledged his positive impact on the spinners and the women’s cricket environment.
Cricket Ireland bids farewell to Hauritz, thanking him for his contributions and wishing him and his family well.
