MS Dhoni will not charge anything to mentor the Indian team in the upcoming T20 World Cup

The former iconic captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was brought in as a mentor for the T20 World Cup. Former cricketers praised the BCCI decision, the mega-event is going to start on October 17.

The Indian former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not going to charge any salary or amount of fees for mentoring the Indian cricket team in the upcoming T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to start on October 17 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). BCCI President Sourav Ganguly confirmed that iconic Indian captain MS. Dhoni will be in a new role as a mentor. The 40-year-old iconic player has recently reached the finals of the IPL 2021 with his team CSK after beating DC in qualifier 1.

MSD retired from international cricket last year. His last matches against Newzealand at the 2019 World Cup semi-final. during that match, a famous runout happened which India never forget that moment. Former cricketers believe that Indian cricket legend Dhoni will bring luck to the Indian team.

This will be the first time for Dhoni as a mentor. He will be the perfect choice for India for such a mega event. He has very vast experience and brought perfect white ball strategies for India. Currently, he leads CSK into the final of IPL  2021. The enigmatic wicketkeeper-batter led India to two World Cup titles. First in the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa and then the 2011 ODI World Cup in India which never India forget. He is a very respected player from Jharkhand who played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20 Internationals amassing 4876, 10773, and 1617 runs respectively across the formats.
