Being emotionally detached by the match results has contributed significantly in the stellar success Dhoni has had in his Cricket career said the former Indian Batsmen and teammate VVS Laxman.
From his calm behavior to his explosive run scoring abilities the former Indian Captain is the only Indian captain to win all the ICC trophies stunned the fans around the world when he announced his retirement from International cricket.
“I always felt that being the captain of team India is the toughest challenge for anyone because there is so much expectations from everyone around the world. But MS Dhoni has always been detached from the results” said VVS Laxman on the star sports show he added.
“The way he inspired millions of Indians, not only the sports fans but also millions of Indians how to conduct and how to become an ambassador for your country, how to carry yourself in the public domain. And that is why he is respected so much”.
Laxman said he is the prime example for the younger generation of the cricketers on how to conduct and contribute towards the game.
“Love comes from cricketing fans from what you have achieved in cricket but the respect comes from the way you have conducted yourself”, he said.
“All around the world the former Cricketers and all of the cricketing fraternity have thanked MS Dhoni for his contribution, not just to Indian cricket but World Cricket”, Laxman added.
