India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has firmly shut down all rumors linking him to television actress Mahira Sharma. The cricketer took to Instagram on Thursday to address the ongoing speculation, writing in a now-deleted story, “I request paparazzis to stop asking questions around me. It is completely untrue and baseless. I hope this ends,” along with a folded hands emoji. Though the post was taken down shortly after, screenshots have since gone viral.
Rumors of a relationship between the two have been circulating for months, often fueled by their presence in the same city or subtle online activity. Mahira, known for her appearances in popular television shows and her stint on Bigg Boss, has also denied the reports on multiple occasions. Most recently, she told the media, “I am not dating anyone,” adding that she’s often linked with co-stars and chooses to ignore the noise.

Despite the repeated denials, speculation persists. At a recent Bollywood event, Mahira walked the red carpet in a striking saree. Paparazzi were quick to tease her with questions like, “Your favorite team is Gujarat, right?”—a reference to the IPL and Siraj. Although she did not respond verbally, her visible blush only added fuel to the fire.
Most recently Siraj posted a story saying all the rumors around him are not true and asked media to stay away from these false story – “I request paparazzis to stop asking questions around me. It is completely untrue and baseless. I hope this ends.” – which he later deleted the story.

Neither Siraj nor Mahira have made any further public statements since the story went viral which would exactly direct them to answering the soeculations but netizens believe that the Instagram story of Siraj was about the rumour itself. However, both continue to maintain that there is no truth to the rumors.
