
In the recent test series IND vs AUS, Mohammad Siraj who took 13wickets including five wickets haul said that after the Adelaide debacle the team’s atmosphere was good.
In an exclusive interview with Sports Today, Siraj said that the head coach Ravi Shastri told boys that “36 all-out will not happen again” and also made sure that atmosphere after Adelaide debacle remains upbeat”
Also mentioning the roles about the bowling coach Bharat Arun and captain Ajinkya Rahane Siraj said that, “I know Arun sir since my domestic days, his role has been important to my career. He also knew what I could do. Ajinkya Rahane trusted me, I enjoyed a lot” he told Boria Majumdar, consulting (sports) editor of India Today.
In addition, Siraj talked about his experience of leading young India. Siraj said that he was disappointed after taking only one wicket int the first innings but Bharat Arun helped him in taking his five maiden wickets in test cricket.
Mohammad Siraj said, “it was challenging to lead the pace attack in my third test match. My plan was not to take wicket but to built pressure by bowling dot balls. I bowled well in the first innings but I didn’t got much wickets and I was upset in the dressing room, but Bharat Arun sir said that I bowled better than expected and I was not being judged for not taking wickets. He said that Test Cricket is like that, you may not get many wickets today but can get them tomorrow and I got rewarded in the 2nd innings.”
