“Melbourne century was very special for conclusive series victory” Ajinkya Rahane

After Adelaide humiliation, the vice captain Ajinkya Rahane in Boxing Day Test led from the front, in which he achieved a century against Australia. This century will remain special as it paved the way for series victory says Rahane.

Rahane told Sports Today that, “ Whenever I get runs and when we win. I think for me that is something really special. Rather then my own achievements, Test match and winning the series is the priority for me.”

Rahane also added, “But yes Melbourne Test century was really special. I said that my Lord’s hundred was special in Melbourne but many people tole me that my hundred was better than my Lord’s hundred.”

“I didn’t know how to react to that, but now I released , given the conditions after the Adelaide Test. Melbourne test was really conclusive and yes I thought Melbourne innings was really special.”

India were ruled out for their lowest test score of 36 in their second innings in Ind vs Aus. However, despite of not having Virat Kohli and Mohammad Shami the Indian team rose to the occasion in the nest test with Rahane as a stand-in skipper leading the team to a memorable victory.
