The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has supposed to alter some of the laws of international cricket. Although the fresh laws will come into outcome from October 1, 2022, the modifications made in the Laws of Cricket by the MCC are for the evolution of cricket.
Even a conflict has now been put to a verge by the MCC, which was compared to Mankading.
The MCC has altered the law for running out non-strikers while bowling and put in it to the run out law. This is generally called mankading and can now be dismissed if a non-striker player departs the line before the bowler takes action, which will be known as a run out. We have glimpsed a bunch of animosity on this.
Initially this law was wrapped under Law 41, which retained the prestige of Unfair Play. There were yet several viewpoints for the non-striker’s run-out by the bowler in his delivery speed.
Still, now to avert this animosity, the MCC has stridden it to rule 38 (run out). Still, the diction of this law stays the exact.
It is worth pointing out that when playing for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2019 season. Ashwin had run out Rajasthan Royals batsman Jos Buttler after he departed the line before his bowling action arrived.
Although, there was a conflict that this is against the essence of the sport, but the law for this was there before as well.
