The defending champions of the Big Bash league have signed the West Indies all rounder and skipper in the tests Jason Holder for three matches.
The addition of Holder takes the foreign player count of the squad to four.
Holder will be the second West Indies player in the squad along with Carlos Braithwaite.
Holder is currently in New Zealand preparing for the test series against the hosts. He will be available for the Sydney Sixers from 20th December onwards.
Holder was part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team which made it to the playoffs of the IPL. He came in as replacement for injured Australian all rounder Mitch Marsh. He made impact in every game he played, either with bat or with ball. In the eliminators, Holder got the crucial wicket of Virat Kohli in the powerplay which made his team win the eliminator.
He commented on his addition to the squad. He said that he was excited as he has been looking to play in the BBL for a few years now. He says that he has great relation with the Sydney captain Moises Henriques who he played along side in the IPL for SRH few seasons ago.
The BBL will start from 10 December with the first game to be played between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers.
