Jonny Bairstow scores a second century in ENG v IND, 5th Test match

Jonny Bairstow has scored another century (114 off 145) to take England to a victory in the rescheduled Test match against England at Birmingham.

Jonny Bairstow has been in brilliant touch in the past couple of Test matches for England. Jonny Bairstow ignited the England team to put up a brave front against the Indian bowling attack. In the first inning, Bairstow scored 114 runs off 145 balls when nearly the entire England batting order fell prey to the Indian bowling lineup. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami ran through the batting lineup of England except for Bairstow who left the Indian side clueless with his aggressive stroke play. In the second inning when India already had an edge over England, Cheteshwar Pujara joined by Rishabh Pant led the attack and posted a massive target of 300+ runs for England to chase which seemed far from reality to be chased.

Surprisingly, England fell like a pack of cards in the first inning and swiftly made their intentions clear of chasing the target. It was Jonny Bairstow who once again sparked the attack against Indian bowlers with Joe Root. Bairstow scored hundreds in both innings. Jonny Bairstow allowed Joe Root to play big shots while holding another end of the batting lineup.
