“Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course,” tweeted Bumrah along with two pictures where he and Sanjana are seen performing wedding rituals. “Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you,” the tweet further said.

The BCCI along with Mumbai Indians, the IPL franchise Bumrah plays for and ICC tweeted congratulatory wishes for the couple.

The 27-year-old right-arm fast-bowler has played 19 Tests, 67 ODIs and 50 T20Is for India since his international debut in 2016.

He was India’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is until Friday as he got surpassed by Yuzvendra Chahal during the ongoing five-match T20I series against England.

On the other hand, Ganesan is a TV presenter who hosted several shows on cricket broadcast during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, the IPL and Team India matches.

Bumrah was a part of the Indian squad for the Test series against England that concluded recently. He was released from the squad citing personal reasons ahead of the fourth Test and was not a part of the squad for the T20I series.

India won the four-match Test series 3-1 and have levelled the five-match T20I series 1-1 with three matches to play.
