When Ravindra Jadeja bowled to Marnus Labuschagne in the fourth over of the innings, Australia could have faced another early setback. However, as the Australian batter approached the dressing room, he was stopped by the umpire for a no ball check; it was later revealed that Jadeja had indeed overstepped, giving Labuschagne a lifeline.
This was Jadeja’s second no ball of the innings; he had previously overstepped in his first over.
Later, Marnus was sent off by none other than Ravindra Jadeja, whose sparkling delivery hit the stumps and sent Labuschagne back to the pavilion.
Cricket expert Harsha Bhogle kept his view on Jadeja’s no-ball delivery which could have given India an early confidence to end their Day 1 on a better note.
No-ball for anyone, especially a spinner, has to be unacceptable. Jadeja is an exceptional cricketer but this is an infection that is taking time to go away
