Yuvraj reacts to Shreyas Iyer’s knock as Delhi Capitals beat Mumbai Indians.


The former Indian player Yuvraj Singh reacts to the innings of Shreyas Iyer by tweeting, “Sometimes you have to play the situation than the expectation! Well played Shreyas Iyer mature knock.”

Dehli capital won the match by 4 wickets with Iyer staying at the crease till the end. The Indian batsman was accompanied by R.Ashwin as the pair made a 39 run stand together to clinch the match in Delhi’s favour.

Ashwin who hits a six of the first ball in the last over helped Delhi Capital win over the defending champion Mumbai Indians in Sharjah in the Indian Premier League match on Saturday.

Mumbai Indians who were batting first scored a total of 129 with the loss of 8 wickets with Suryakumar Yadav scoring 33 of 26 balls as Avesh Khan took 3 wickets in the first innings.

Delhi began their chase sloppy by losing quick early wickets as both the openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan got out relatively early in the innings.

Steve Smith’s bad form in the IPL continues as the Australian only managed to score  9 runs before getting bowled to a fellow Aussie Coulter-Nile.

Then the captain, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer made a stand which only lasted till the 8th over as Pant was caught by Hardik Pandya to a Jayant Yadav delivery. Shimron Hetmyer chipped in with a couple of boundaries before being dismissed by Bumrah. As the wicket kept falling from one end Iyer was still pacing his innings eventually winning the match for Delhi Capitals with 33 runs knock from 33 balls.
