WATCH: “This is my ground,” Virat Kohli teases back to Delhi Capitals star KL Rahul as RCB tops the table with win

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a crucial six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2025 clash at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on Sunday, April 27. Led by Rajat Patidar, RCB successfully chased down the 163-run target, thanks to standout performances by Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya.

Kohli scored a composed 51 runs off 47 balls, laced with four boundaries, and stitched a vital 119-run fourth-wicket stand with Krunal Pandya, who contributed 73 runs off 47 balls. Their partnership ensured RCB’s seventh win of the season and propelled them to the top of the IPL 2025 points table with 14 points from 10 matches.

Kohli’s viral celebration: ‘This is my ground’

After sealing the victory, Virat Kohli was spotted teasing his former teammate KL Rahul with a cheeky gesture. In a video now viral on social media, Kohli mimicked Rahul’s “This is my ground” celebration during a chat post-match. This was a playful nod to Rahul’s similar celebration during the RCB-DC clash at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium earlier this season on April 10.

Orange Cap leader

With his half-century, Kohli also reclaimed the Orange Cap. He now leads the IPL 2025 scoring charts with 443 runs from 10 matches, including six fifties. Mumbai Indians star Suryakumar Yadav trails close behind with 427 runs from 10 matches.

Flop show by KL Rahul

Despite being DC’s top-scorer on Sunday, KL Rahul struggled to accelerate. He made 41 runs off 39 balls, hitting three boundaries. However, his slow strike rate put pressure on the remaining Delhi batters, ultimately leading to a below-par total of 162/8.

RCB eye playoffs

The win strengthens RCB’s playoff hopes. With four matches remaining, just one more win would practically seal their playoff berth for the second consecutive season under Rajat Patidar’s leadership.
