Watch: “Ro aa gaya jo garden mein ghoomne nahi deta,” Mumbai Indians prepare special announcement as Rohit joins team for IPL 2024

In a recent press conference new skipper Hardik Pandya said Rohit Sharma’s role with the Mumbai Indians transcends captaincy in the Indian Premier League. While the former officially handed over captaincy to the all-rounder for the new season, his pedestal is still as high as ever. Rohit captained the Mumbai Indians to greatness, with the franchise winning multiple Indian Premier League winning chairman with him at the helm, just like the Chennai Super Kings under Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

However, even with Pandya at the helm, Sharma’s presence is still enormous. Fortunately for the fans, the champion India batsman has officially resumed with Mumbai Indians camp.

They welcomed their star batsman with a caption: “Woh aa gaya…Ro aa gaya,” a line Sharma famously uttered when he thumped England in the recent series. Pandya reaffirmed his importance when he confirmed that “He will always be there to help me. This team has always triumphed under his leadership… I just have to take it forward.” There will be no awkwardness, according to Pandya. He emphasized that “It will be a great feeling because we have been playing for 10 years. I have played my entire journey under him, and he will still have his hand on my shoulder all season.” Therefore, Rohit Sharma’s immense influence will be with him as Mumbai Indians prepare in IPL 2024.
