Irfan Pathan, former Indian cricketer, took to his twitter page and tweeted that using Umran in middle overs will work for Sunrisers Hyderabad in long term.
Umran Malik was one of three cricketers retained by SRH ahead of the major auction this year, alongside Kane Williamson and Abdul Samad.
Last season, the Sunrisers Hyderabad fast bowler, who is from Jammu and Kashmir, made headlines when he delivered the fastest delivery in IPL history, clocking in at 152.95 kph (95mph). Not only was that the fastest delivery of the season, but it was also one of the fastest balls ever bowled by an Indian.
He made into the Sunrisers Hyderabad team as a net bowler after a strong showing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 competition.
T Natarajan, who tested positive with Covid ahead of Hyderabad’s match against Delhi Capitals on September 22, 2021, was replaced by Malik as a short-term Covid-19 substitute. Malik’s fortunes altered dramatically after that.
Using umran Malik in the middle overs will work for SRH in long term! #SRHvsLSG
