The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings is going to be a belter as both the teams are trying their level best to make it to the top four. KKR however has an edge over their opponents, as they are already in the fourth position with 2 points lead and a better run rate. Punjab Kings have had a mixed restart to their tournament with 2 losses and 1 win, they will looking at every match as a must-win.

Coming into this game, both the teams are forced to make certain unwanted and forced changes due to injuries and bubble fatigue issues. For KKR, Andre Russel is still out of contention due to the muscle injury he picked up against CSK. They faced another injury issue against Delhi Capitals as their most economic and impactful bowler Loki Ferguson picked up an injury. As a result, another Kiwi, Tim Seifert gets to make his debut for KKR alongside him, Shivam Mavi comes in the squad in the place of Sandeep Warrier who had a very average outing in the last match.

PBKS also have their hands filled with player issues. With Chris Gayle out of contention due to bubble fatigue, they will require another overseas player who can fill his shoes. Although, they have been handed an injury boost by Mayank Agarwal. He will be replacing Mandeep Singh. To strengthen their batting, which was turned out to be their nemesis in the match against Mumbai Indians, they have brought in Shahrukh Khan. He had a decent outing in the first phase of this IPL where he scored 107 runs in his 7 innings. Replacing Chris Gayle, PKBS has gone with Fabian Allen, who can contribute both with the bat and ball.
