Iyer has been advised to remain quiet for the time being, and the Indian batter is doing so in the hope that his situation will improve.

Iyer’s current status is that he will have to wait 10 days to find out his exact condition after being pulled out of the fourth Test against Australia in Ahmedabad due to a sudden recurrence of back spasms. Despite the negative results of his tests, he has not been officially ruled out of the IPL.
