Rajat Patidar, the breakout player for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022, may miss at least the first half of the upcoming season due to a heel injury. At the NCA in Bengaluru, Patidar is presently undergoing rehabilitation.
In order to determine Patidar’s participation in the second half of the competition, an MRI scan will be performed after three weeks of rest, according to reports. He sustained the injury before arriving at the camp, so he will need to get the all-clear from the NCA before joining the Royal Challengers team.
Due to Patidar’s absence, Royal Challengers may need to change their batting lineup. Mike Hesson, the franchise’s director of cricket, had previously stated that Virat Kohli would continue to open the batting with Faf du Plessis even with him in the mix. Due to the injury, it’s possible that Kohli will move back to position three and Anuj Rawat or Finn Allen will start with du Plessis.
