Officials of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the IPL have confirmed this to Cricbuzz on Wednesday (March 1). “He should be able to play a full part in the IPL and as always his franchisee and the ECB will manage his workload,” an ECB source said while an IPL counterpart added saying, “Jofra is very much available, have you not seen him in action in the Dhaka ODI.”
Archer bowled two for 37 in 10 overs for England in their one-day international against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Wednesday. England are in Bangladesh for three ODIs and three T20Is until March 14, after which he may travel to India. He is expected to be available for MI and to lead their attack in their first game, against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 2 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
