TATA IPL 2023: “Dada is back with Delhi,” Delhi Capitals franchise shares ‘roaring’ post as Sourav Ganguly joins team for the upcoming season

Sourav Ganguly, a former president of the BCCI, is in line to become the director of cricket for the Delhi Capitals. Before becoming the BCCI president, the former India captain worked with the team as an advisor during the 2019 IPL season. Delhi Capitals shared a “comeback” post for the veteran Sourav Ganguly to which the DC fans cheer loudly.

Former captain of the Sahara Pune Warriors and Kolkata Knight Riders, Ganguly left the Indian cricket governing body in October of last year after his terms as board president expired.

The former opening batter and former Australia captain Ricky Ponting will reunite. Ganguly and Ponting played together for the first time in the IPL for KKR in the inaugural season after being rivals on the cricket field. In the IPL 2019, the two met up at DC, where Ponting served as the team’s head coach and Ganguly as the team mentor.
