TATA IPL 2022: Washington Sundar’s tight spell help Sunrisers Hyderabad dominate the powerplay

Washington Sundar who is playing his 100th T20 game on Monday against LSG had a great spell in the powerplay as he took two important wickets in the first six for SRH.

Sunrisers Hyderabad spin bowler Washington Sundar is playing his 100th T20 game against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday, 4th April. The match is scheduled to be played at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. Lucknow Super Giants didn’t get the start they wanted as they lost three important wickets in the powerplay. SRH totally dominated the powerplay, thanks to Washington Sundar’s tight spell in the first six.

KL Rahul’s LSG could only score 32 runs in the powerplay as they lost three early wickets against SRH on Monday. SRH are playing their second game of the season after they lost the first one against Rajasthan Royals. Kane Williamson’s side will be looking to register their first win of the season and they got the start they wanted.

Three LSG batsmen namely, Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis, and Manish Pandey were departed early by the SRH bowlers. Washington Sundar dismissed Quinton de Kock and Evin Lewis who played an exceptional inning in the previous game against CSK which help them get their first victory. Skipper KL Rahul is still in the crease and he will have to go long in order to set a good total for SRH.
