TATA IPL 2022: Virat Kohli never fell for consecutive ducks in 511 innings for India

Kohli has 119 runs at an average of 19.83 in seven games thus far in IPL 2022.

New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Michael Appleton, took to Twitter to express his concern over Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli, stating, “Virat Kohli has played 511 innings for India and has never scored two or more consecutive golden ducks”.

He was dismissed on the first ball bowled by Dusmantha Chameera of Lucknow Super Giants. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Marco Jansen, who took his wicket, delivered him his second golden duck.

The Indian Premier League’s highest run-scorer is Virat Kohli. However, the iconic batsman has been having trouble scoring runs. He hasn’t been in the best form lately.

Kohli’s highest score this season was 48 runs, which he scored against the Mumbai Indians, but he’s never appeared his best in the league thus far.

Kohli is third in line of highest international hundreds across all forms with 70 centuries.

Kohli scored 10,331 runs in 158 international games between January 2016 and November 2019, averaging 71.24. During the phase, he hit 36 centuries and seven double-tons. In Tests, he averaged 66.79, 83.73 in ODIs, and 55.15 in T20Is.
