TATA IPL 2022: “Venky v/s Hardik is no longer a debate,” fans divided over Venkatesh Iyer being dropped from KKR XI

Venkatesh Iyer was been dropped from the starting XI of KKR on Monday, 2nd May at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai against Rajasthan Royals.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer was been dropped from the team on Monday, 2nd May at Wankhede stadium when the team was against Rajasthan Royals and it was not so shocking news for the fans as the opening batter wasn’t performing well in this year’s IPL.

Fans after seeing Venkatesh Iyer not into the starting XI of Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday against Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals feels that there is no competition between Hardik Pandya and him as Hardik is now should be perfect choice for the selectors to be picked in the upcoming T20 World Cup for India.

Hardik Pandya is been fantastic this season and his team Gujarat Titans is on the top of the table. Skipper Hardik is also in the list of most runs getter in this year’s IPL. As Venkatesh Iyer hasn’t bowled much overs in the IPL and isn’t in a good touch with the bat so it is unlikely that he will make into the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup.
