For the eighth consecutive match in the ipl 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s explosive pacer Umran Malik is set to take the 1 lakh reward for the fastest delivery.
Umran Malik of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) crushed Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Shubman Gill’s stumps, dismissed GT skipper Hardik Pandya and Wriddhiman Saha in their match at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
In his first over on Wednesday, Umran bowled the fastest delivery of the match, at 151.7kmph.
Umran smashed Saha with another deadly 152.8 kmph thunderbolt delivery, sending him back to pavilion with 68 from 38 balls.
Gill and Wriddhiman Saha, the GT openers, had gotten their team off to a flying start in the 196-run chase. Saha, in particular, looked fantastic, smashing 41 off just 20 balls.
Gill, on the other hand, was considerably steadier and scoring at run-a-ball. Umran delivered a quick delivery that ended his knock. Gill attempted to provide space for a flick but was outpaced by Umran’s speed, and the off-stump was broken.
In the IPL 2022 season, Umran has been on fire, laying the groundwork ablaze with his deadly pace. He put it to good effect once more when he gave SRH the breakthrough he needed.
