Shubman Gill of the Gujarat Titans has seen a dramatic drop in form, having scored 180 runs in the first three matches of the IPL 2022 season, but only 89 runs in the next seven.
Rishi Dhawan dismissed Gill cheaply for 9 runs in 6 balls for a run out in the 48th match of the IPL 2022.
Despite scoring zero runs in three balls in Gujarat Titans’ first match of the season against Lucknow Super Giants, Gill smashed an incredible 84 runs in just 46 balls against Delhi Capitals, restoring the team’s form. He struck 96 from 59 deliveries in the next match against Punjab Kings, giving the franchise high hopes for upcoming matches.
Unfortunately, he shattered all expectations with his pretty awful stats in the Titans’ following seven games. Against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he scored 31 runs in 28 balls, his highest total in the seven matches.
