TATA IPL 2022: Rohit Sharma completes 10000 runs in T20Is; reaches 500 fours in tournament

On April 13, during India’s IPL 2022 match against Punjab Kings at the MCA Stadium in Pune, skipper Rohit Sharma reached the milestone with a 7-ball 28-run innings.


During the IPL 2022 match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings, Rohit Sharma became the second Indian to reach 10,000 T20 runs. He has also reached 500 fours in The IPL.

Rohit surpassed the milestone with a six off Kagiso Rabada’s bowling in his 375th match (362nd innings). On the following ball, he hit out to Vaibhav Arora at backward square leg, and he was removed. With 427 sixes, the Mumbai Indians skipper leads the Indians in the format’s six-hitting statistics. With almost 5700 runs, including a century and 40 fifties, the 34-year-old ranks third on the all-time list of IPL run scorers.

Rohit joined Virat Kohli, his India teammate and former RCB captain, as the only other Indian batsman to reach the 10000-run milestone.
