TATA IPL 2022: Rajasthan Royals (210/6); Sanju Samson bags a fifty

Rajasthan Royals got off to a good start thanks to Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Before Jaiswal was bowled by Romario Shepherd for 20 runs, the partnership accumulated 58 runs for the first wicket 20(16).

In the fifth game of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rajasthan Royals scored 210/6 in 20 overs against SunRisers Hyderabad at the Mumbai Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Jos Buttler, the Rajasthan Royals’ opening hitter, was given a respite and made the most of it, dismissing Umran Malik for 21 runs in the fourth over. SunRisers Hyderabad had bowled four no-balls thus far, but Romario Shephard sent Yashasvi Jaiswal back to the hut in the sixth over, giving the team its maiden wicket.

Sanju Samson’s shoulders after Devdutt Padikkal’s half-century was missed. Samson reached his half-century in the 16th over of the innings. Sanju Samson along with Devdutt Padikkal then added 73 (41) for the third wicket, before Padikkal was cleaned up by Malik on 41 (29). Samson completed his half-century but was dismissed soon on 55(27) by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. It was Shimron Hetmyer’s 32 off 13 deliveries helped Rajasthan post a mammoth total of 210/6.

Except for the many no balls, the Hyderabad bowlers have been impressive must work on it and maintain a firm grip on things in the future. Kane Williamson would undoubtedly inform his bowlers about the situation. Rajasthan, on the other hand, had a solid foundation owing to their openers.
