In the 25th match of the IPL 2022, Rahul Tripathi strikes the second-fastest half-century of the season in just 21 balls for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Kolkata Knight Riders.
He was dismissed for 71 runs in 37 balls, with four boundaries and six sixes, by Andre Russell’s delivery, which was caught by Venkatesh Iyer.
He smashed the bowlers in his maiden season with Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017 to make his strong presence in the IPL. He hit a career high of 93 runs in 12 matches, totaling 391 runs. In 2018 and 2019, he was a player of the Rajasthan Royals, however he did not have the finest of seasons. He was moved to KKR after being purchased for INR 60 lakhs in the 2020 IPL Auction. He has been KKR’s go-to top-order batsman since then, hitting 397 runs in the 2021 IPL season.
