Quinton de Kock of the Lucknow Super Giants has reached the milestone of 2500 runs in the ongoing Indian Premier League versus Punjab Kings in the 42nd match on Friday.

de Kock has 2527 runs in his records of the tournament after the match against PBKS.

After the early loss of skipper KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda put on a 50- run partnership in 43 balls before Quinton was removed for 46 runs in 37 balls with four bounds and two sixes. Kagiso Rabada bowled KL for six runs, while LSG started cautiously against Punjab Kings bowling. Hooda has hit 16 off 20 in the partnership.

Over the course of six seasons, de Kock has played 10 games against Punjab for four different teams (Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians). The left-handed batsman’s 323 runs in 10 innings came at a 35.89 average and 127.17 strike rate, respectively, with four half-centuries.

Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to bowl against Lucknow Super Giants. Punjab made no changes from the previous game, while Lucknow replaced Manish Pandey with Avesh Khan.
