
On Sunday, Delhi Capitals faced Kolkata Knight Riders at Brabourne stadium for the 19th match of the tournament. KKR won the toss and forced DC to bat first. The decision didn’t go well for the table toppers. DC scored 215 runs in 20 overs, giving KKR a target of 216. For Delhi, Prithvi Shaw played an aggressive inning of 51 runs off just 29 balls. He smashed 7 boundaries and two sixes all around the ground.
David Warner also was back in form and played an impressive inning of 61 runs off 45 balls, including two sixes and four boundaries. Captain Rishabh Pant also played a short-sweet inning of 27 runs off 14 balls. Shardul Thakur (29 runs off 11 balls) and Axar Patel (22 runs off 14 balls) provided DC the much-needed finishing touch. For, KKR Sunil Narine just gave 21 runs in his four overs and took two crucial wickets.
Russell also gave just 16 runs in his two overs and sent captain Pant back to the pavilion. The rest of the bowlers were expensive and gave away runs with an economy of 10+, helping DC to reach the total of 215.
