TATA IPL 2022: MS Dhoni continues to dominate as the death over wizard

Dhoni not only has the most runs, but he also has the most sixes in the death overs, with 151 in his IPL career.

Several batsmen have consistently dominated the Indian Premier League over the years, but players who have scored massively in the death overs have always been in great demand.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former India captain and current captain of the Chennai Super Kings, is regarded as one of the best finishers in white-ball cricket history since he has consistently done so for his sides. In the IPL’s death overs, the right-handed batter from Jharkhand has gathered the most runs.

MS Dhoni, who has played for both Chennai Super Kings and the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiants, has the most runs in the death overs. Despite his age, the former India cricketer continues to finish games for his CSK side. He has scored 2507 runs in death overs and is regarded as the greatest death overs specialist in T20 history.

Former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard is the second-highest run-scorer in death overs, after only Dhoni. For his IPL franchise, the senior Mumbai Indians all-rounder has 1705 runs in the death overs.

Dhoni not only has the most runs, but he also has the most sixes in the death overs, with 151 in his IPL career.

Dhoni has spent almost his entire career with the Chennai Super Kings, appearing in 220 games in the IPL. He has 4909 runs under his belt and a 39.3 average.
