Mitchell Marsh, Australia’s allrounder, has been ruled out of the subsequent One-Day Internationals versus Pakistan but will joining the Delhi Capitals team for the IPL 2022 season to “complete his recovery” out of a hip flexor injury. Marsh, who was purchased for a worth Rs 6.5 crore in the IPL auction, was set to join Delhi Capitals after the Pakistan white-ball series ends on April 6.

As in ESPN’s twitter page, Marsh will go to India to join the Delhi Capitals, where physiotherapist Pat Farhart, a former Australian and present New South Wales physiotherapist , would oversee his recuperation during an isolation period.

His arrival to India will help the Delhi Capitals, that only had two of its seven international players available for their opener against the Mumbai Indians, which they defeated by four wickets.

Marsh will follow Anrich Nortje as the second Delhi Capitals player to continue his rehabilitation with the squad.

The Capitals will still have pace bowlers Lungi Ngidi and Mustafizur Rahman ready for their next encounter on Saturday, as they have finished their quarantine, while Nortje completes his rehab and regains match fitness.

Marsh will not be available for the match as he is still recovering from his injury.
