On Saturday, Mumbai Indians will face the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals at D.Y Patil Stadium in Mumbai. For the first time this season, two of the best sides in the IPL will square off. Some of the subplots in this game are Jasprit Bumrah vs. Trent Boult, Murugun Ashwin vs. Ravichandran Ashwin, and pinch-hitter Kieron Pollard against Shimron Hetmyer.

Rajasthan looked impressive in their previous match, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 61 runs. Mumbai, on the other side, lost their first game to the Delhi Capitals. Since 2018, RR has won five of the eight matches played between the two teams.
Suryakumar Yadav has recovered from the hairline fracture he suffered in the home series against the West Indies.

Nathan Coulter-Nile, a bowling all-rounder for Rajasthan, left the field after collapsing during his follow-through in the previous match. As of today, there has been no news on his recuperation. Given that Coulter-Nile is not completely healed, James Neesham and Daryl Mitchell are two players that might fill in for him in today’s game.
