Marcus Stoinis of the Lucknow Super Giants knocks 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League on Sunday against Delhi Capitals in the 45th match of the season.
With 1003 runs in 61 IPL games, the Australian all-rounder has joined the league’s 1,000-run club.
Stoinis has played in a number of positions in this year’s IPL, predominantly in the bottom middle order. As a consequence, he has had little impact on the team’s season.
Marcus has indeed played six matches and has just scored 90 runs at an average of 22.50 and a strike rate of 140.62.
Marcus had one of his best seasons in 2020, when the Delhi Capitals reached the final. Stoinis was one of the main reasons DC reached the final of IPL 2020, with over 350 runs.
