Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians will be up against each other for the first time in this 15th season of IPL on Wednesday, 6th April at Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. Kolkata Knight Riders are in a good run of form as they have won two games in three they played this season. Shreyas Iyer’s side is pretty good as the team is currently standing in the second position on the points table. It is quite possible that KKR will go with the same XI as the previous game.
Predicted Kolkata Knight Riders XI: Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer (c), Andre Russell, Sam Billings (wk), Tim Southee/Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine, Umesh Yadav, Shivam Mavi, Varun Chakravarthy.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians still haven’t got their first win of the season and the five-time champions are still searching for it after two games. This will be Mumbai Indians’ third game of the season which they will play against KKR on Wednesday. Rohit Sharma will have to make some changes in the squad in order to register their first win of IPL 2022. Suryakumar Yadav was also seen in the net session for MI ahead of this clash, so it is possible that the middle-order batter can join the playing XI against KKR on 6th April.
Predicted Mumbai Indians XI: Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Tilak Varma, Anmolpreet Singh/Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David, Kieron Pollard, Murugan Ashwin, Daniel Sams, Tymal Mills, Jasprit Bumrah, Basil Thampi
