Six days have passed since the start of IPL and so far IPL has been quite entertaining for the spectators. The first innings of the first match of Super Saturday was also full of runs and entertainment. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals scored 193 runs for the loss of eight wickets in this match against Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bowl first and invited Rajasthan Royals to bat.
Jos Butler, who came to open the innings for Rajasthan Royals, batted brilliantly and played a brilliant inning of 100 runs in 68 balls. Jos Buttler, batting at a superb strike rate of 147, also scored the first century of this IPL season. Due to this brilliant batting performance of Jos Buttler, Rajasthan was able to reach such a huge score.
Apart from Jos Buttler, captain Sanju Samson also played a good inning and scored 30 runs in 21 balls. Jos Buttler and captain Sanju Samson put on 82 runs partnership for the third wicket and did not give many chances to the MI bowlers. Along with Jos Buttler, Simron Hetmeyer also batted vigorously in the last few overs to take Rajasthan to a huge target of 194 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah was the most successful bowler for Mumbai Indians and he took three wickets for a total of 17 runs in his 4 overs.
