TATA IPL 2022: Jos Buttler earns back the orange cap in a tussle with Hardik Pandya

In the encounter between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, Hardik Pandya enjoyed just a few minutes of being an orange cap holder before Buttler again snatched it.

Hardik Pandya’s consistent run in the league while leading Gujarat Titans has elevated him to become an orange cap holder, surpassing Jos Buttler during the match that brought them against each other. Hardik Pandya during the side’s encounter against Rajasthan Royals scored 87 runs off 52 balls. Hardik Pandya scored his second consecutive fifty while helping his side cross the upheaval as a captain. Hardik has scored his second-highest score in IPL against Rajasthan Royals while the first score appears to be against Kolkata Knight Riders of 91 runs in 2019. He has scored 228 runs in the present league with a strike rate of 122.

However, it took a single over for Jos Buttler to earn back the orange cap from Hardik Pandya in the same match. Hardik Pandya enjoyed a while of being an orange cap holder before Buttler snatched it back from the former.
