TATA IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans lose two early wickets; SRH dominates the powerplay

Subhman Gill did lose his wicket in the power play, but due to average bowling from Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Gujarat team managed to reach a respectable score of 51 runs.

In the 21st match of IPL between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans being played at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, Sunrisers Hyderabad have won the toss and decided to bowl first and have invited Gujarat to bat first.

Sunrisers Hyderabad is coming after defeating Chennai Super Kings in their last match and are currently eighth in the points table. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans, after winning their first three matches, are currently at third place in the points table and are also seen as strong contenders to reach the semi-finals.

The pair of Shubman Gill and Matthew Wade, who came out to bat after losing the toss, could not last long and Subhman Gill lost his wicket in the third over due to a brilliant catch by Rahul Tripathi. Sunrisers Hyderabad bowled very modestly in the powerplay and gave 12 extra runs as a result of which Gujarat was able to score 51 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the Tidal Powerplay.
