Gujarat Titans have been phenomenal right from the start of the tournament. The team under Hardik Pandya has been a complete fighter in the league. Shubman Gill who is being considered to be a brilliant player in terms of opening the batting line up hasn’t been out in the IPL 2022 so far against spinners but Riyan Parag provided a breakthrough to his record. Riyan Parag bagged the wicket of Gill to become the first spinner to get Shubman Gill out.
Riyan Parag recently revealed why and how he is a proven a favorite to grab the role of finisher for the team. He was quoted as saying, “I don’t want to praise myself too much, but I think I can be the best finisher not just for Rajasthan Royals but for India in years to come. I have got the skill-set, I’ve got the all-rounder abilities and not just batting, fielding and bowling as well. Yes, I’ve got a lot to work on and I’ve got to be consistent. I’ve got to work a lot on a lot of areas but I firmly believe that I can do it for the Rajasthan Royals team and the country as well.”
