After defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 43rd match of the ongoing season at Brabourne stadium on Saturday, Hardik Pandya led Gujarat Tirans, the debut franchise in IPL 2022, became the first team in the Indian Premier League’s history to win the first eight out of nine matches.
The Titans have always been the team at the moment in this IPL. Everything they’ve handled has turned to gold, with unlikely match winners appearing anytime they’ve been in trouble.
Gujarat Titans chased down a goal of 171 runs with six wickets and three balls to spare. On 43 and 39, Rahul Tewatia and David Miller stayed undefeated.
The Titans were in disarray at one point after being reduced to 95/4, but Miller and Tewatia came to the rescue and put up an undefeated 79-run fifth-wicket partnership.
With 16 points so far this season, the Titans are also in first position in the points table.
