TATA IPL 2022: David Warner stuns Wasim Jaffer by his energy with the bat

The Delhi opener scored his 89th half-century, surpassing Chris Gayle’s tally of 88 half-centuries.

Wasim Jaffer, a former Indian cricketer, took to Twitter to applaud David Warner of the Delhi Capitals for his amazing energy in the 50th match of IPL 2022 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which has seen him knock stunning shots off any bowling the spinners throw. Wasim tweeted, “ This is the ‘come at me’ energy Warner came out to bat with tonight”.

Not only Wasim Jaffer, but also Warner’s outstanding batting performance tonight has gained wide praise from netizens.

David Warner’s undefeated 92 runs off 58 balls, including 12 boundaries and three sixes, aided Delhi Capitals post a total of 207/3 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

David Warner also surpassed Chris Gayle’s record for most half-centuries in T20 cricket. He got to 50 off 34 balls with a four. The Delhi opener scored his 89th half-century, surpassing Chris Gayle’s tally of 88 half-centuries.

In the IPL, the 35-year-old also tops the record with 54 fifties in 158 innings.
