TATA IPL 2022: David Warner completes 5500 runs in the tournament

DC’s Prithvi Shaw and David Warner each scored fifty before KKR shot twice in Mumbai on Sunday, removing Shaw and Rishabh Pant.

David Warner of the Delhi Capitals has reached 5500 runs in the Indian Premier League, becoming the first overseas batsman to do so.

Warner is by far definitely one of the best overseas cricketers in the IPL.

Warner, the 2016 IPL champion, was bought for a great deal by the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He was acquired by DC for a price of 6.25 crore after eight years with Sunrisers Hyderabad, which he left in 2021.

After David Warner reached his 51st IPL fifty on Sunday, Andre Russell dismisses Rishabh Pant for 27 to end a 55-run partnership. After Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to field in match 18 of the IPL 2022 on Sunday, Varun Chakravarthy struck to dismiss Prithvi Shaw for 51.
