TATA IPL 2022: Batting is an art, KL Rahul is an artist – Irfan Pathan

With his magnificent century on Sunday, Rahul became the first batsman in IPL history to achieve three hundreds against the same opponent.

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan took to his Twitter page to applaud Lucknow Super Giants captain K L Rahul for his century against Mumbai Indians in the 37th match of the IPL 2022, tweeting, “ Batting is an art, KL Rahul is an artist”.

As LSG posted a total of 168/6 against MI, KL Rahul struck his second century of the season. Rahul smashed an incredible 103 off just 62 balls after being put into bat first.

Rahul also leads the list of Indian cricketers who have struck the most hundreds in T20 cricket, with a total of six.

Rahul is one of the most efficient batsmen in the Indian Premier League’s history. In his career, Rahul has broken the record of 600+ runs in an IPL season three times.

Rahul has a fantastic record when it comes to MI. He has now scored 867 runs in 16 innings, averaging 86.70 and striking out 135.89 with three hundreds and five fifties.

He also became one of a select group of batsmen to hit multiple century in a single IPL season. Jos Buttler had already accomplished the feat in 2022 as he has three so far this season and Rahul joined Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Shane Watson, and Shikhar Dhawan as the sixth batter to do so.
