TATA IPL 2022: Andre Russell leads with the highest strike rate in T20; Tim David just behind in the chase

Andre Russell came to KKR from the Delhi franchise in 2014 and has since established himself as a valuable component of the team. In just 87 games for KKR, the West Indian power-hitter has scored a total of 1869 runs.

Andre Russell of the Kolkata Knight Riders, with a strike rate of 169.47, is leading the race for the highest strike rate in T20 cricket with a minimum of 2000 runs. Tim David of the Mumbai Indians is behind Russell with a strike rate of 160.28.

Andre Russell, a West Indian all-rounder, has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in the T20 format. In both international and franchise cricket, the lower-order batter has proven to be a game-changer on numerous times.


Russell also made history by becoming the first bowler to take four wickets in an innings’ last over, and the third bowler in T20 history to take four or more in the 20th over.

He has played in 67 T20Is for the West Indies, scoring 741 runs and taking 39 wickets. He is, however, best renowned for his incredible achievements in the Indian Premier League.

Tim David displayed his batting prowess by smashing a stunning unbeaten 44 off only 21 deliveries, and the flourish he supplied at the finish was the difference between the two teams as Mumbai Indians upset table-toppers, Gujarat Titans.He was purchased by Mumbai Indians for a stunning INR 8.25 crore in the IPL mega auctions.

David has played 14 T20I matches for his country, scoring 558 runs at an average of 46.5 and a strike rate of 158.52, which is the third best in T20I cricket history (min. 500 runs).
