TATA IPL 2022: Ajinkya Rahane’s family cheers for him, KKR calls it “The sweetest support”

Kolkata Knight Riders rode Ajinkya Rahane’s 44 to a six-wicket win against the reigning champions in the first match of the Indian Premier League 2022

On Saturday, Kolkata Knight Riders began their Indian Premier League 2022 campaign with a six-wicket victory against defending champions Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Ajinkya Rahane’s wife Radhika Dhopavkarand daughter Aarya were spotted cheering him and the Kolkata Knight Riders family. Ajinkya Rahane fell short of his 50 as he found the mid-wicket fielder, Mitchell Santner claims it.

Set a target of 132 after previous captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s unbroken half-century helped CSK to a decent score, Kolkata dominated the chase from the start due to opener Ajinkya Rahane. As Chennai attacked with the ball in quest of wickets, the right-hander struck 44 runs off 34 deliveries with six fours and a six to set up the chase for KKR.

The team’s official twitter feed posted a video of Ajinkya Rahane’s family cheering on the KKR squad.
