RCB, led by Virat Kohli has had difficult last seasons but are looking forward to this year as they feel the freshness in the side in new. Earlier Virat Kohli mentioned that this year the side is the most balanced he has had since 2016. Even AB de Villiers added that although they’ve had a good side each year, the energy seems different this year. He even praised the skipper for his work ethic and added that the revamped support staff has had a positive impact.

In another episode of the franchise’s Bol Diaries series, AB de Villiers had some interesting things to share. The batsman from South Africa believes that even though there has been no cricket in the past 6 months, the hunger to play has been immense. “You might see fireworks” he added.

On being asked on playing with no crowd, he Sais “ most of my life I have played in front of a small crowd. I played domestic cricket every year which barely had 5 people watching. It has only been the last few years of my international career that I played in front of massive crowds. We will miss the Chinnaswamy stadium and the RCB fans cheering us on”

On being asked who apart from Virat Kohli was he excited to see any youngster play, he answered “Finch is a great batsman but I already know him. Josh Philippe, the young Australian is someone I am looking forward to meeting and watch him play. He plays all the shots in the book even after being so young. I would like to work with him”.

The 3 Australians namely Aaron Finch, Adam Zampa, Josh Philippe and English cricketer Moeen Ali are all set to join the RCB squad directly after the limited dover series in England. The IPL is all set to begin on 19th September with the opener between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in Dubai, UAE.
