Rohit Sharma might just come out all guns blazing tonight: Tom Moody on MI vs CSK IPL 2023

On Saturday, April 8, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the 12th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 will pit Mumbai Indians (MI) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). In their opening contest, Mumbai was humiliated by the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The MS Dhoni-led team, meanwhile, lost their opening match against the Gujarat Titans but rebounded admirably against the Lucknow Super Giants, moving them up to sixth place in the IPL 2023 points standings.

Former cricketer Tom Moody thinks that five-time IPL champion Rohit Sharma would come out swinging to defeat CSK after losing their first game. The 57-year-old also discussed the fierce competition between the two franchises.

“In the 15 years of IPL, both CSK and MI share nine trophies between them. So, there’s a lot of pride in what these two extraordinary teams do and how they operate. These two teams have been doing well and the rivalry is good. It’s also going to be a big moment for MI captain Rohit Sharma as he’s playing at home and he might just come out all guns blazing tomorrow,” Moody stated.
