RCB are coming on the back of a disappointing performance against the Kings XI Punjab losing to them by 97 runs. An argument can be made that if SRH would have had a better middle-order in the first game they too would have defeated RCB in what was their first game as well. However, Bangalore players and fans would argue that form goes out of the window when it comes to such a big match and there might be some truth in it as well. Nonetheless, RCB would have to put in a great performance if they are to overcome the reigning champions in Mumbai Indians who are coming into this game with extreme confidence after their previous performance. The form of captain Virat Kohli would be of slight concern for RCB as King Kohli has managed to score a total of just 15 runs in his two matches so far. Irrespective of that fact, there is no doubt that when Virat Kohli gets going, it is nothing short of a party for the spectators. Yuzvendra Chahal remains the catalyst for RCB with the ball in hand picking up 4 wickets in the tournament so far. Shivam Dube has also showed promise with the ball picking up 2 wickets in the previous match for RCB.

Mumbai Indians will be brimming with confidence at the moment. They lost their first game to CSK, however the won their last match against KKR by 49 runs. The match against KKR was a great one for the MI camp as there were fantastic performances in every facet of the game, be it with the bat, the bowl or in the field, Mumbai players were just on the top of their game and one would only expect them to kick on and get better with time as the tournament progresses. Captain Rohit Sharma comes into this game with some fantastic form. The Hitman played a superb innings against KKR scoring 80 runs off just 54 balls which included 6 huge sixes. Rohit Sharma is just 10 runs away from achieving a milestone of completing 5000 runs in the IPL and the Indian opener would sit in elite company being only the third batsman ever to complete this feat behind Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina. Rohit Sharma would also like to kick on from his last performance and maintain his name among the top scorers of this year’s tournament fighting for the prestigious Orange Cap( given to the highest run scorer of the tournament). When it comes to the bowling, MI will be very confident as they have used 6 different bowlers so far in the tournament and all of them have managed to pick up wickets so far. The Mumbai pace-trio in Boult, Bumrah and Pattinson all sit at 3 wickets each and pose a big threat to any team.
