Rashid Khan strikes two wickets in a single over as Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma walk back to pavillion

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continued to wreak havoc by taking two wickets in a single over. After striking Ishan Kishan’s wicket, Rashid Khan managed to dismiss Tilak Varma in the same over, leaving Mumbai Indians in a precarious position.

Rashid Khan’s first wicket came in the form of Ishan Kishan, who was struggling to get going throughout his innings. It was a half tracker from Rashid Khan, which spun away after pitching, and Ishan Kishan miscued the ball horribly. The ball went high up in the air, and Joshua Little from long-off ran in to complete a fine catch.

In the same over Rashid Khan managed to dismiss Tilak Varma. There was a slight confusion whether it was a leg before wicket (LBW) or not and after umpire’s decision of “not out” Gujarat Titans took DRS. Rashid Khan thought that the decision should have been given in favor of the LBW, and upon reviewing the replay, it was evident that the ball hit the pads first, and the decision was overturned in favor of the LBW dismissal.
