When long term rivals meet as teammates! Mega Auction started today where Ravichandran Ashwin bagged a contract for INR 5 cr for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2022 as the second player to be sold after Shikhar Dhawan for Punjab Kings.

Ashwin being in a new franchise with RR after Delhi Capitals backed out, will be teaming up with England’s Jos Buttler in the team who once was involved in a fiery occurrence “Mankading” following the Indian knocked the bails out at the bowling end. In the 2019 edition of IPL, the English player was run out at 69, while Ashwin, who played for Kings XI Punjab chose to step out of the crease instead of finalizing his delivery to the batsman on strike.
